Il Coniglio Restaurant, which is situated at Piscopo Macedonia, Xemxija Heights will probably give you the wrong impression when you see the external door. With it's three steps downwards to reach the red door to enter the restaurant, you will be forgiven should you think you are about to enter a small, dark and below street level room. I know I thought that the first time I went to view the restaurant! Because of the impression the exterior gives, the surprise when you get in is bigger.
After going through the red door you will find yourself into a small waiting area where you will find a second door which leads you to the main restaurant. I, personally was surprised the moment I set foot inside. The area is big, it can easily hold up to 90 covers but the most amazing thing is the view it offers. Having no buildings at the back of the restaurant, except for two roof rooms which I would gladly knock down, you get to have a beautiful view of Xemxija bay and the St Paul's bypass. The scene you are presented with is beautiful both when the sea is nice and calm and also on the rare occassions when it is angry and fierce. No wonder everyone wants to be seated in our verandah!
But a restaurant is not just about the view, actually that is just a welcome bonus. A restaurant is about the food and the service it offers. In the past few months since we have opened our doors we have changed our menu and the way we present the dishes a couple of times. By experience we have learnt from our mistakes and corrected them whilst we kept what our customers enjoyed, and though perfection, even though sought on a daily basis is hard to reach, I feel we have reached the point where I can confidently guarantee total customer satisfaction in the areas which matter most - the vast selection of dishes on offer, the aroma of the dishes, how the dishes are presented, the large portions and the price. Our aim is to to get the customers back over and over again and that is not possible unless your objective is to offer total satisfaction to diners. There is nothing more rewarding then repeat customers and I am proud that in the few months we have been there we have had a lot of them - some of them have now become friends.
I hope to see you at my restaurant soon.
Regards
Stephen
P.S. Did I mention that the premises also include a swimming pool, a snack bar near the swimming pool and that in Summer you can dine in our open air terrace as well as in our fully airconditioned restaurant?
